'Boris', the Veedub T25 we got hold of last autumn, is now on the verge of 'his' first surf trip, the primary intended purpose for the acquisition. We'd kept it on the road with short local journeys only until January when it was decided to SORN it for the winter and find time to get some needed maintenence done.
The bulk of this first fix was completed just over a week ago, namely the exhaust system and fuel tank & sundries being replaced. Ben has given the bus a good clean up both in and out while I have made sure items such as gas bottle and sleeping bags etc etc have been added to the fixtures. Now all that is needed is the tax disc commencing Sat 1st July and a tank of fuel and we're away at the drop of a hat to our beloved Bude and surrounds for a short jaunt.
I had hoped that a departure on Sunday or Monday would have been possible, but it looks as if Neptune demands a silly o clock set off on Saturday as a decent loggable swell with summer weather beckons from Friday through to Sunday. From then it looks grim wave wise so will post again later tomorrow with any definite update.
