" East and West Witterings work best when there is a large low pressure in the Bay of Biscay and a northerly offshore wind, which of course doesn't happen that often. Alternatively a strong southerly wind will produce waves but is onshore. East Witterings works best three hours before high tide and West works one hour either side. If you want to know how big
